ABOUT ANDREA MERINSKY

My interest in design is focused on shining a light on architectural solutions through the implementation of innovative, thoughtful, and impactful projects. I believe that through the collaboration of art and science, spaces and systems can be developed to bring forth consciousness and logical solutions to local and global problems. I am currently a Master of Architecture student at Florida International University and began my career in design in 2018 through participating in art exhibitions across South and Central Florida, such as the Orlando Museum of Art, the SLS hotel, and Art Basel showings along with award recognition and international magazine features from Buneke magazine, Create Magazine, and M.A.D.S Milano for artistic endeavors, all in the purpose of visually communicating human\'s connection to nature with an aim to develop an experimental design language in architectural projects Before pursuing Architecture, I began college seeking a degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Central Florida in August 2020 in the path of environmental awareness. While pursuing my degree in Architecture, I also participated in the FIU classical painting academy and studied art history and art composition in detail. I have gained valuable experience working as a design associate at Ecclectic Elements and have developed my technical and creative skills using various computer programs, such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, ARC Gis, and Microsoft Office. I have also strengthened my communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills from my proficiency in Spanish, English, French, and conversational Portuguese to collaborate with clients and organizations. I am always looking for opportunities to grow and learn from distinct spaces and cultures to apply this knowledge into projects that I am a part of. I look forward to continuing learning as a lifelong student with every opportunity that comes my way.
