About Andrea G.

I am a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a background in neuroscience and premedical studies. My work and academic experiences have focused on understanding and addressing health and healthcare disparities through research, policy, and systems-level change.I have supported and led multidisciplinary teams across clinical, academic, nonprofit, and public health settings, including NIH-funded research, free clinic operations, and community-based health initiatives. I bring experience in coordinating complex projects, streamlining operations, analyzing policy, and producing community and equity-focused insights from both qualitative and quantitative data.My interests include health and public policy, Latino and immigrant health, advocacy, strategy and operations, stakeholder engagement, Medicaid and Medicare policy, managed care, value-based care, government relations, and healthcare reform. I am well-versed in identifying social, political, and economic determinants of health and translating those insights into actionable approaches to improve outcomes for underserved, marginalized, and disenfranchised communities. My long-term goal is to advance patient-centered health care and policy. I am currently seeking opportunities to apply my graduate-level education to health policy, operations, strategy, and research work, while continuing to grow and contribute to mission-driven teams. I welcome the chance to connect with others who are passionate about advancing policy solutions, strengthening health systems, and addressing the root causes of health and healthcare disparities.Gallup CliftonStrengths: Communication, Harmony, Woo, Individualization, Includer
