About Andrea Johnstone
I built EpiCypher\'s product launch pipeline from the ground up, helping to develop and execute our strategic vision and transition from a startup biotech to a major player in technology development for chromatin research. Notable accomplishments include first-to-market for CUT & RUN epigenomic mapping assays, launching EpiCypher\'s first ever genomic mapping kits which have been widely used to enable chromatin studies, applying proprietary quantitative controls to set improved standards for rigor and reproducibility in epigenetics research, and developing novel approaches for biomarker discovery in liquid biopsies and clinical tissue samples. My day-to-day role is to lead EpiCypher\'s fast-paced product commercialization pipeline in a matrix environment through coordination with R&D, Production, Services, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and upper management teams. I mentor a team of talented Product Managers and Associates, lead NIH SBIR-funded research projects, manage collaborations with leading scientists, and establish partnerships with like-minded biotech companies to stay at the cutting edge of technology development.We\'ve only begun to scratch the surface of what can be possible with novel technologies that enable an improved understanding for how gene x environmental interactions impact gene regulation. With my passion for epigenetics, skills in project management, and my background in neuroscience and drug development, I am committed to improve human health through innovative science.
