Building on 30 years of delivering innovative, life-saving therapeutics to people and animals, I lead a team called Automation & Data Sciences that is spearheading the digital transformation of Zoetis R&D. Focused on cutting-edge technologies, novel digital and analytics tools, and the generation of data-driven insights, our group is automating R&D processes and enhancing data management and knowledge generation. This revolutionizes our approach to R&D, fostering innovation and enabling breakthroughs that contribute to better health outcomes for animals worldwide. In previous roles in the pharmaceutical industry, I served as Vice President of Global Companion Animal Therapeutics at Zoetis and held leadership positions in areas such as Allergy and Dermatology, Inflammation, Oncology, Toxicology, and Pharmacology in both Animal Health and Human Health Divisions. Notably, I have led organizations or teams that have contributed to numerous drug approvals, including APOQUEL™/APOQUEL CHEWABLE™, a selective Janus Kinase inhibitor, and CYTOPOINT™, a caninized anti-canine IL-31 monoclonal antibody all approved for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in dogs, VIZIMPRO®, an irreversible pan-erbB inhibitor for the first-line treatment of human patients with EGFR-mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, and IBRANCE®, a CDK4/6 inhibitor used to treat HR+, HER2- breast cancer.
