Andrea, an executive leader and government affairs professional, nearly 30 years of experience with Capitol Hill, federal administrations and agencies, state and municipal governments, and working with executives and as a public and non-profit entities leader. She has a wealth of expertise in advancing public policy and stewarding strategic initiatives for diverse entities, prioritizing durable and lasting impacts. She works to marshal collective political influence in order to secure durable policy impacts. Andrea\'s skills in coalition-building, policy advocacy, and cultivating political relationships empower partners to deepen commitments to their visions while inspiring them to advance innovations to address seemingly intractable challenges. By identifying agency assets and facilitating organizational alignment, Andrea leads clients to develop creative and sustainable solutions in response to community, organizational, and market demands.Andrea is a strategic and passionate thought leader whose expertise spans an array of policy areas, including the environment, climate, health, LGBTQ equity, and social services. She has secured millions of appropriation dollars for new programs, grants, and earmark funding. She has designed and established innovative programs, regulations, and research at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Institutes of Health, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: Health Resources Service Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. And she has shepherded the creation of national centers—from aspiration to launch—by coordinating with federal agencies, identifying congressional champions, building coalitions, managing campaigns, and ensuring sustainability through funding.

   As the Senior Policy Advisor to the Alliance for the Great Lakes, I work to advance innovative solutions to reduce the harm of plastic pollution and build a sustainable transition away from toxic plastic production and waste, creating a healthy and sustainable future for the Great Lakes basin. Our team works in partnership with the Ocean Conservancy, building a bridge between our collective efforts to build resilient and healthy Great Lakes and oceans.
