ABOUT ANDREA DE MITRI
My experience includes senior staff positions (as technology specialist or consultant) in process design, technology licensing, management consulting, project development and commissioning / operations with major engineering companies in petrochemicals, polyolefins, polymers, Oil & Gas, coal gasification and refining. I have covered positions as principal engineer, chief process engineer, process consultant and project manager in the past 24 years. For the first 6 years of my professional career I worked in R&D, on mathematical modeling and the development of a process simulation / optimization package. Currently Project Director for a PDH/PP Complex in Vietnam (Phu My Plastics Production JSC, TH Group). Other recent experiences include- Technology specialist for feasibility studies, pre-FEED and FEED of major petrochemical and polyolefin projects in the ME (UAE and Oman) and Canada (Alberta)- Engineering Manager and specialist expert for the pre-FEED phase of a major petrochemical project in UAE (Borouge 4)- Consultant for several feasibility studies and process technology assessment for major initiatives in the ME and FSU (with Advisian Worley)- Technical due diligence for lenders on four major LNG projects. Areas of expertise included process design, HSE, engineering execution, project management, licensing and performance guarantees- Project Manager/Technology Manager and client representative (PMC - FEED phase) for the relocation of a PP plant and the potential relocation of an HDPE plant to an FSU country Key areas of expertise include consulting and execution of projects from conception to startup, commissioning, performance testing and operations, also in a PMC role: polypropylene, polyethylene (LLDPE / HDPE, LDPE), propane dehydrogenation, PVC, coal gasification / IGCC, petrochemicals (phenol, ethyl benzene, styrene monomer), Oil & Gas / NGL recovery, acid gas removal / recovery, refinery processes.
