Serve as the organization’s internal leader; bridge state, program, and national operations. Advise the President, Chief Executive Officer, Vice President, and Board of Directors on strategic direction, employee relations, external positioning, and risk management for all areas of the 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 operation. Oversee key organizational functions, including financial management, business planning, human resources, legal, lobbying and ballot campaign compliance, fundraising, grantmaking, contracting, evaluation, and administration. Assess and build infrastructure across and between all c3 and c4 entities. Partner with the Executive Management team to scale the organization’s national reach and impact. Develop business models and identify opportunities for revenue and program enhancements or efficiencies. Execute annual-quarterly activities such as staff retreats, board meetings, performance reviews, professional development, budgeting and forecasting, registrations, tax filings, and audit. Cultivate a cohesive work culture and learning environment.
