ABOUT ANDREA AYRES

My passion is helping individuals and organizations realize their potential. I help people to shift from “I can’t” to “How can I?”. Whether it’s coaching, facilitating, or navigating change, I create safe spaces for people to develop and move forward in reaching their goals. After pursuing my MBA over a decade ago, I was drawn to the field of human resources because people are complicated, messy and marvelous. Not only do I love a challenge, but I love working in the ‘grey’. It’s here that the real opportunities lie. To my fresh new MBA eyes, the area of human resources looked like a potential source of competitive advantage that wasn’t fully tapped into by many places. I saw it as a place where I could make my mark. In today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA) environment, I believe that now, more than ever, we need to master the ‘grey’. There’s a shift happening in the skill sets people need to stay relevant. Creativity, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence are increasingly important if we do not want to be left behind. It’s what inspired me to pursue executive coaching. Throughout my HR career, I’ve had the good fortune of wearing many different hats – in Organizational Effectiveness, Compensation and as a Human Resources Business Partner. I’ve been able to view the same opportunities and challenges from different lenses. As a result, I have a great view of the big picture how things can effectively “fit” together. I also have acquired subject matter expertise in a number of different areas, which has made me more effective in any role I’ve taken on.
