ABOUT ANDREA ATTERITANO

Very professional and knowledgeable\', Andrea leads the arbitration practice in Italy for Hogan Lovells and is responsible of the firm\'s litigation offering in Rome. Recognized for \'the great expertise in arbitration, the mediation skills and the great professionalism with which he tackles litigation\', Andrea assists clients \'in a wide range of industry sectors spanning finance, insurance and food and beverages\' and \'has particular experience in corporate and insurance disputes\'. Whether it is a serial litigation over misselling of insurance products, a D&O claim or a shareholders\' dispute, a post M&A arbitration or a follow on action, a complex commercial dispute or a matter of public or private international law (including on immunity and sanctions), Andrea \'handles the case as though the company were his\'. With his almost 20 years\' experience and a strong academic background, Andrea \'impresses with brilliant advocacy skills\', advising on strategy to manage and reduce potential risk exposure in \'the client\'s best interests\'. Assistant Professor at Luiss Guido Carli (Rome) and Italian representative of the Hogan Lovells\' Accountants\' Liability group, Andrea authored various publications for the most important law reviews and publishing houses and is secretary and member of the editorial committee of the Italian Arbitration Law review. Co-head of Pride+ for Continental Europe and member of the Italian Diversity team at Hogan Lovells, Andrea is also on Diversity & Inclusion, with particular focus on sexual orientation.
