In my role as Strategy & Governance Manager at AEB Group, reporting directly to the Group CEO, I oversee key strategic and governance initiatives to drive growth, sustainability, and operational excellence:Responsibilities:• Lead M&A and business development activities in the photovoltaic and energy sectors, from strategic analysis and valuation to deal structuring, execution, and post-merger integration.• Coordinate the Boards of Directors of the parent company and its subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with group strategy, regulatory compliance, and efficient decision-making processes.• Design and implement medium- and long-term corporate strategies to support business growth and sustainability goals, with a specific focus on renewable energy, waste management, and circular economy initiatives.• Engage with internal and external stakeholders (shareholders, municipalities, regulators, industrial partners) to align governance practices with market trends and regulatory frameworks in the energy and waste sectors.Key achievements:• Guided the €8m acquisition of an 8MW photovoltaic plant in Faenza, coordinating all pre-closing integration workstreams to ensure day-one operational readiness.• Led the strategic workstream for the €500m+ ten-year industrial plan, prioritizing CAPEX allocation and scenario analysis to secure unanimous Board approval and establish the Group’s growth roadmap.• Reshaped the Group’s business portfolio by divesting non-core activities and clustering remaining assets into three strategic business lines, improving capital allocation efficiency.• Steered the renegotiation of shareholders’ agreements to reinforce parent-company direction and coordination, mediating between municipal stakeholders and A2A leadership.
