ABOUT ANDRE GU

I am interested in leveraging synthetic biology to engineer biology-based solutions for human well-being and planet health. I am equally interested in understanding the role of music storytelling in film, theater, and video games. In the same way that musical notes and rhythms can tell stories woven with complex emotions, the interplay of simple molecular processes can create multi-dimensional machines with limitless capabilities. That is, everything in nature has its own story. By seeking these stories through science and sharing them with the world, my mission is to make positive, meaningful, and lasting impacts across the globe.
