The Director’s role will be to expand an existing initiative focused on addressing the negative impact that periods of high immigration levels have historically had and continues to have on the Black citizens of the United States, particularly the 88% of which are descendants of slaves. The HBCU Engagement Director serves as the central person coordinating the efforts for thisnationwide initiative focused on formation of relationships with the Administrations, Faculties,and Student organizations of over 100 Historic Black Colleges and Universities. Involved in thisinitiative is a constellation of prestigious black leaders representing 3 distinct generations, aswell as, a nationally recognized author of the book, “Back of the Hiring Line - A 200-Year Historyof Immigration Surges, Employer Bias, and Depression of Black Wealth”.
