Responsible for supervising all aspects of manufacturing operations as a first level supervisor. Monitors and adjusts unit operating conditions for safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. Coordinates activities between operations and maintenance during off hours. Serves as the incident commander and responds to safety and environmental incidents until relieved. Provides guidance and direction to shift operators for efficient unit operations and problem resolution. Covers and assumes duties of the Operations Superintendent and/or Unit Manager when needed. Notifies government agencies when reportable environmental incidents occur. Directs the activities of various contractors as needed in the operating unit.
