As a tenure-track Assistant Professor, I teach courses across the painting and drawing curriculum—from foundational color and figure drawing to advanced studio practice—guiding students in developing technical mastery, conceptual depth, and a cohesive artistic voice.My teaching integrates classical and contemporary realist approaches, emphasizing anatomy, proportion, gesture, light and shadow, and narrative painting. I design courses that connect historical movements to contemporary practice, encouraging students to position their work within both local and global dialogues.Beyond the classroom, I mentor students individually, support exhibitions and critiques, and foster collaborative opportunities across disciplines. My role bridges pedagogy, studio practice, and professional preparation, equipping emerging artists with the skills and perspectives needed to thrive in today’s art world.
