ABOUT ANDI ZAHEDI
With over 10 years of experience in the concrete construction industry, I am a Concrete Engineer who specializes in sustainable design and durability assessment of concrete infrastructure. I currently work at MCON Products, a company that produces carbon-negative concrete products using industrial by-products and captured CO2.My passion for sustainability and innovation motivates me to constantly explore new technologies and materials that can improve the environmental performance and lifecycle of concrete elements. I have contributed to several research projects on alkali-silica reaction, alternative binders, and recycled aggregates, and published my findings in reputable journals. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise as a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa, where I teach advanced concrete technology courses.
