As a dedicated social worker, I am passionate about empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges, achieve personal growth, and find hope in difficult times. My journey into social work is deeply rooted in personal experiences as a Marine Corps veteran, a cancer survivor, and a caregiver. These life events have shaped my empathetic approach and reinforced my belief in the resilience of the human spirit.I hold a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) with a 4.0 GPA and am pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) to deepen my ability to advocate for and support diverse populations. My professional experiences include supporting veterans, individuals battling cancer, those in addiction recovery, and families navigating complex life transitions. I’ve had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with clients, empowering them to break challenges into manageable steps and celebrating their victories along the way.In addition to my work with clients, I have experience in nonprofit collaboration, grant writing, and technology solutions to streamline operations for organizations. I’m currently volunteering with Champaign County Cancer Association and Samaritan Works, combining my social work expertise with skills in CRM implementation and life skills education.Whether I’m hosting support groups, teaching life skills, or advocating for systemic change, my mission remains clear: to foster healing, build resilience, and inspire hope.
