   Baobab Collection is a Belgian-based luxury high end retail collection of handmade scented candles and diffusers. As General Manager, I am accountable for managing staff and the profitability of the business unit. Structured in thinking and approach, I work to identify opportunities for additional gains in efficiency, expense control, and productivity. In this role, I have been part of standardizing transportation costs from an initial loss position into low negotiated transportation rates working in our favor. I consistently analyze sales statistics to properly forecast, schedule and control inventory levels; I also supported a warehouse move to lower our logistics costs. As Baobab Collection continues to grow and evolve, I have been involved with the integration of a new system, as we migrated from QuickBooks to Odoo ERP. It was important that I understood the logic behind the system and how it affects the big picture, as I weighed in on setup needs and reporting parameters and learned to recognize glitches to maintain the integrity of our data.
