About Ana Tellechea
As a biomedical scientist with experience in pre-clinical, clinical, and translational research, I am driven by a true passion to positively impact health. Currently I contribute by leading new product development efforts in regenerative medicine. Additionally, I mentor colleagues in R&D, operations, and quality, as well as external students & peers, and communicate science to different audiences.My areas of scientific expertise include tissue repair & regeneration, biomaterials, diabetes & diabetic complications, inflammation, neuropeptides, drug delivery, and cancer. My research has resulted in 18 publications (9 as first-author) and accounting 1,500+ citations (h-index: 15), 25+ presentations at scientific conferences, 10 prestigious awards, 5 competitive training fellowships, and 1 patent to date. I have also helped to secure funding through successful grant proposals for 10+ consecutive years.Besides gaining scientific knowledge, my academic and professional trajectory has allowed me to develop skills in a variety of R&D aspects including team leadership, cross-functional & external communication, project management, product development, clinical development, medical devices, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, risk assessment & risk management, strategy, and business.I wish to strengthen my contribution to the advancement of science, biotechnology, medicine, and education.
