About Anastasios Foukas
I\'m proud to represent the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago as a Principal Attorney within its Environmental, Construction and Torts Division. We actively represent the District in non-employment related lawsuits and administrative hearings. During my time at the District, I\'ve assisted staff on the development and administration of the Watershed Management Ordinance to help ensure future development properly considers the development\'s stormwater effects to mitigate any potential flooding. I\'ve also been trusted with personal injury, breach of contract, real estate and large putative class action claims, including presenting an argument before the Illinois Supreme Court. Prior to joining the District, I successfully represented Fortune 500 companies, non-profits and individuals in a variety of cases including product liability, breach of warranty, civil rights, toxic tort and class action matters. In that work, I took a leadership role in representing my clients including developing litigation strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions and all aspects of trial and appeals in both state and federal court. I am a member of the Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois and a former member of its Judicial Evaluation Committee.
