ABOUT ANASTASIA MILOVIDOVA

I am a sustainability professional with 10+ years of experience advising some of the world’s largest corporations, grounded in a PhD in Environmental Studies and a career shaped by research, consulting, and cross-cultural leadership. My early professional years were spent in academia, think tanks, and international organizations, where I developed strong analytical discipline, intellectual rigor, global mindset and a deep appreciation for evidence-based decision-making. Over the past decade, I have applied this foundation in sustainability consulting, supporting companies on regulatory sustainability reporting, including CSRD and California climate disclosure requirements, as well as on the design of practical, credible decarbonization strategies.A defining influence on how I think and work is Japan, where I spent 12 formative years and which continues to feel very much like home. Living and working there instilled a long-term perspective, discipline, and an appreciation for precision and continuous improvement. I am fluent in Japanese and remain deeply connected to the culture, which continues to shape my professional style today. At this stage of my career, I am increasingly interested in creativity as a professional force. For me, creativity is not limited to art, but shows up in research and writing, in how teams collaborate, in connecting cultures and ideas, and in creating shared experiences that add value for others.Based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I spend much of my time outside of work moving and recharging. You will often find me running along the East River, on a yoga mat, or intentionally seeking out forms of movement that build both strength and balance. I also draw inspiration from art galleries, theater, and dance, and enjoy curating experiences and mentoring, particularly around education and career development.I am always glad to connect with others interested in sustainability, decarbonization, research-driven strategy, and creative, thoughtful ways of working.
