Developed and maintained scalable REST APIs using Scala, emphasizing clean architecture and data-driven design. Built and optimized backend pipelines, achieving over 4× faster data processing for critical workloads. Diagnosed and resolved JVM deadlocks and HikariCP connection timeouts, enhancing system stability under load. Improved fault tolerance by fixing autoscaling-related failures, ensuring uninterrupted processing during dynamic scaling. Overhauled the upgrade process for a 2TB PostgreSQL cluster with TimescaleDB, enabling simultaneous upgrades of primary and replica nodes. Managed and optimized AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform, automating deployments and configuration management. Leveraged Elastic Beats for monitoring and observability, increasing reliability and reducing mean time to resolution. Built an experimental Slack bot integrating an MCP server with LLMs to assist the support team in data-driven decision-making. Implemented memory optimizations and resource tuning, improving application performance and stability. Achieved cost reduction of $120/month for Elasticsearch through configuration and resource optimization. Integrated the Amazon Selling Partner API, a third-party system, expanding functionality and user capabilities.
