As a BI Developer at Alliant group, I work with a team led by former IRS commissioners and industry experts to provide innovative and compliant solutions for US clients. My responsibilities include developing ETL processes, creating dashboards, and optimizing database performance for IRS R&D and 179D forms. I also ensure data security, provide technical support, and collaborate with stakeholders to address their data needs effectively.• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for various business units.• Perform data extraction, mining, and profiling activities, leveraging Azure SQL and Power BI.• Develop tabular, multidimensional models compatible with warehouse standards• Applies data visualization for discovery and timely insights to decrease Cycle Time to Action (CTA).• Ensure clarity and consistency in processes by meticulously documenting workflows.• Connect Power BI to various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, share point Excel, APIs, and other cloud/on-premises databases.• Implement data relationships and star schema modeling for efficient querying and reporting.• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all reports.• Uses knowledge of business and data structure to discover and/or anticipate problems where data can be used to solve the problem• Implement security measures to protect sensitive financial and tax data within Power BI reports and dashboards.
