IIT Guwahati Technology Innovation & Development Foundation is Incorporated and Established at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Guwahati, Assam. It is funded by Department Of Science and Technology, Government Of India and BIRAC - Bionest by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India with an objective of fostering industry-academia collaboration. Technology Innovation Hub, IITG TIDF plays a significant role in in the vertical of “Technology for Underwater Exploration” launched by the National Mission for Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) by DST, Govt of India. TIH, IITG works in collaboration with other 24 TIH s nationally selected for other verticals. Activities that we undertake are in the line of initiatives by the government of India, Viz. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), New Quality of Connectivity, Digital India, Make in India, Skill India & Stand-up India, Smart Cities, Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The Aim of this hub is to design and develop Mechanical Structures, Prime Movers, Sensors, Controllers, Software, and Communication systems, of national and international importance for underwater application. TIH, IIT Guwahati will provide a platform for bringing the experts together for generation of the knowledge through basic and applied research which can lead to generate several entrepreneurs, stat-up companies, skill developments, jobs, and research opportunities in this area.
