About Anant Shukla
I am a Civil Engineering undergraduate at IIT Roorkee with a strong interest in leadership, public policy, and technology-driven problem solving. Growing up and completing my schooling in Lucknow, I developed an early inclination toward community engagement, which has continued to guide my work at the institute.At IIT Roorkee, I serve as Joint Secretary at NSS, where I have led large-scale social initiatives such as environmental drives and community support programs. I also contribute to rural development efforts as the Overall Finance Coordinator at Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, working on livelihood initiatives, financial planning, and village-level engagement.Beyond the social domain, I have gained professional experience through internships in machine learning and product development, where I worked on projects involving automation, analytics, and user-focused solutions. These experiences have strengthened my interest in applying technology meaningfully across sectors.I was invited as a guest speaker at Udaan 5.0, an outreach initiative by the Rotary Club of Wada, where I interacted with students across diverse educational backgrounds and delivered sessions on leadership, innovation, and teamwork, an experience that shaped my understanding of access, aspiration, and opportunity.I am also a founding member of the Public Policy & Leadership Cell at IITR, supporting conversations and research around governance, policy thinking, and institutional leadership. Alongside this, I have been actively involved in cultural, managerial, academic, and literary roles across campus.I enjoy working at the intersection of impact, ideas, and innovation, and I’m always open to connecting with people and opportunities that align with meaningful development and growth.
