ABOUT ASHAY ANAND
A round peg in a square hole, a misfit and a rebel.I realized my passion was to build systems and products that could help people and not just live a life securing paychecks and negotiating raises. I spent my early twenties litigating and hustling from 8-8, six days a week as a litigator, simultaneously exploring various fields that caught my interest and volunteering on weekends. Two years later I realized that education was my passion and the social sector was my calling. Working as a volunteer for more than five years with organizations both large and small, I garnered valuable experience on implementing disruptive educational models and transforming educational systems at the grass roots level. I founded my first for-profit social start up in 2016 with the vision to increase accessibility to quality education amongst the general population of India and bridge the massive gap between educational services available in Tier-1 cities and the rural areas of India. While pursuing my entrepreneurial journey I also took some time off to pursue a career in martial arts, which led to my second start-up late in 2016, a first of its kind Martial Arts Gym in Bhopal later that year. For my other profile centered around my martial arts career please visit- The very next year I co-founded a third start-up, a publication venture with my close friend from law school. Sadly, 2020 hit my ventures harder than they could bear and astronomical business continuation costs and lockdown restrictions sounded a death knell to my ventures. Still as passionate as I was on the first day I decided to take a plunge, here I am acquiring new skills and learning from my mistakes, hustling to change the educational scenario of India.
