ABOUT ANAND S G BURANGE
Dr. Anand Sudhakar Burange obtained his master’s degree in Chemistry from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, India in 2008, followed by a Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India under the supervision of Prof. R. V. Jayaram. During his doctoral studies, he was honored with a UGC Green-Tech fellowship. Subsequently, he gained industrial experience at Johnson Matthey Catalyst Company, Taloja, India, focusing on supported noble metal catalysis, deprotection of protected drugs, and high-pressure reactions. Transitioning to academia, he joined Dr. C. S. Gopinath’s research group as a Research Associate at the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, India, concentrating onsurface science and catalysis. During his tenure at NCL, he received prestigious awards including the CSIR-RA and CSIR-Nehru awards from CSIR, India. He further served as a CSIR-Nehru Pdf at NCL. Since 2016, Dr. Burange has served as an Assistant Professor at Wilson College, Mumbai. His current research interests encompass exploring new materials as catalysts for value-added organic transformations, surface science, and mechanistic approaches in heterogeneous catalysis. He has authored over 28 research articles, 5 book chapters, and a book titled \'Heterogeneous Catalysis\' published by ACS.
