About Anand Gupta
I am a Drainage Engineer at WSP USA and I posses a passion for drainage engineering and H&H modeling. I am a Professional Engineer (P.E) for the State of Washington Previously where I worked as a Junior Water Resource Engineer at Naidu engineering LLC in Washington State. Prior to my consultancy experience, I have worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Virginia Tech, VA, U.S.A. Also, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. During my professional work, I have worked on several drainage design, hydrology, hydraulic and water quality related projects using a plethora of software’s and hydrologic/hydraulic models like Microstation, Inroads, PCSWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MIKE-11, SWMHYMO for design- oriented and research projects. My interests are to use advanced engineering technologies/software\'s for drainage management of water in urban and rural environments. Summary of Strengths: • Design of drainage systems for highway projects. • Developing temporary drainage conveyance systems • Comprehensive experience in developing tools for watershed modeling. • Experience in managing, manipulating and visualizing large volume of geospatial/ecological/ natural resources/water resources/climate data • Expert in the use of several software’s like SWMM (EPA, PC, XP), HEC-RAS, HEC-GEORAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, Mike-11, Microstation, Inroads, Civil3D, Programming in R, C & Python • Proficient in collaborating with researchers and policy makers from conservation authorities. Excellent ability in preparing manuscripts for technical publications and writing technical reports.
