Reality dictates that the mining industry will continue to be a major thrust area of the 21st century so will its environmental sustainability. Amongst the gamut of competing trends, rapidly changing global technology and innovation, increased energy demand and evolving regulations that the mining industry is currently witnessing, I strongly believe that focus on productivity improvement, process efficiency, efficient & strategic planning and environmental sustainability is the key for sustainable development.Having completed the B.Tech in Mining Engineering from IIT (ISM Dhanbad) and M.A. in Economics, presently, I am working as a dedicated Mining Consultant and Mining Environmentalist in the Geology Mining & Mineral Beneficiation Division at MECON Limited and Involved in the planning and consultancy works related to mining and environment for major companies viz. SAIL, RINL, OMC, UCIL, HCL, PFC, NTPC & APMDC etc. Have a broad understanding of the Mine Design, Short & long term planning, Mine infrastructure facilities and Techno-Economics (CAPEX, OPEX, etc) of mining projects for both Metal & Coal Projects along with Environmental Impact Assessment ( E.I.A.), Application of Economic Indicators, Mining Laws & Regulations, and policy & regulatory frameworks in the sector.
