I maintain the club\'s weekly meetups. I also work closely with the club President (Jacob Kalamvokis) to organize various activities, such as (a) the chess team for the inter-collegiate chess league;(b) US Chess Federation [USCF]-rated games for our club. Additionally, I work closely with the President to decide upon the strategic direction of our club, in terms of which activities to include in our programming, and raise funds for. Currently (Fall 2025), we are also partnered with Red Bull as a beverage partner. I am also currently a SafeSport-certified USCF Club Tournament Director, authorized to host rated chess tournaments of less than 50 people.(March 21st, 2025 - Present; this section was written on 13th May, 2025)Some other accomplishments (club-level; I also participated as a player):(1) Collegiate Chess League [CCL] Team Championship Finalist (among 32 clubs, Division 18): Spring, 2025(2) CCL Summer Arena series (2025); Chess Club at SU placed #4 out of 50+ clubs.Update (October 7th): Along with Jacob K, I co-created \"Orange Legends Arena\" for Chess Club at SU: this is a regular online chess tournament, open to the entire (present and past) SU community (students, staff, faculty).
