Maintain and update the company’s accounting books and records and prepare Balance sheet, Profit and Loss as per GAAP and make sure to maintain proper internal control and others rules and regulations on monthly, quarterly and annual basis• Prepare and post monthly adjusting journal entries for assets, liabilities, expenses and updates Chart of accounts when required in QuickBooks Online • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of bank balances and Shopify POS• Perform regular reconciliations of Balance Sheet GL accounts, including receivables, payables, intercompany balances to avoid errors and fraud• Ensure timely reconciliation of discrepancies through data collection and analysis • Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation, deposits, and revenue recognition• Handle accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense management• Prepare and file HST returns and other CRA remittances• Maintain the monthly commission payout schedule for sales team/call center or advisors• Run and reconcile semimonthly payroll processing, including commission, overtime earnings and salary disbursements, deductions, issuing T4, ROE, T2200 • Manage the employee benefits program and ensure timely enrollment and updates for hiring and terminations to update payroll system• Assist with annual audits as the primary point of contact and response all audit queries of auditors and regulators• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management • Calculate landed cost for items purchased from overseas suppliers and Head office • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations• Prepare annual budgeting and forecasting for department and the company• Prepare special ad-hoc report according to management requirements
