I’ve wanted to be a journalist since I was 12 years old and as I got older, I realized that stemmed from my passion to share the truth and spread awareness about issues no one talked about. So how does marketing fit into that? Marketing campaigns can make an impact on society and trigger change. Just look at Nike’s ‘Dream Crazy’ campaign! And thus began my love affair with marketing. I did my Bachelor’s in public Relations & Journalism from Columbia College Chicago and am now pursuing a Master of Marketing from the Schulich School of Business to get a more holistic and 360 approach of the industry. I am a skilled marketer, with expertise in digital marketing, content creation and communications, and want to work with brands who are committed to doing things differently and making an impact. I bring a multi-cultural and nuanced perspective to my work, having lived in North America and Asia, and understand the need for global marketing in today\'s day and age. My work with Mashion and SOC Films tied in with my passion for journalism, creating awareness on social issues in Pakistan. My time at Edelman and Weber Shandwick in Chicago allowed me to work on some amazing campaigns for brands I admire and hope to work with again. At Citizen Relations, I\'ve been able to step into a B2B role and immerse myself in the global Marketing industry, building the agency\'s brand and thought leadership.
