About Ana B. Mendieta

With over a decade of experience in higher education, I am deeply passionate about empowering students and educational leaders while fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments. As the founder of Achieve Beyond Measure (ABM), my mission is to empower immigrant families and their communities by enhancing their access to and success within the American higher education system. ABM collaborates closely with educational and non-profit organizations to improve and expand their support services for first, second, and third-generation immigrant students.My educational background includes an EdD in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College, where I conducted a dissertation on the challenges and experiences faced by Latinas entering the STEM industry. I also hold a Master\'s degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College at Columbia University and a Bachelor\'s degree in Political Science from Western Connecticut State University.In my roles as a founder, coach, and counselor, I have played a significant role in developing and implementing various programs, initiatives, and strategies that have positively impacted the academic, personal, and professional growth of individuals from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. My driving motivation is to contribute to the vision of creating a more just and inclusive society through education, and I am always eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share this mission.
