ABOUT ANAMIKA CHAUHAN

My academic and occupational background revolve around the research and development of the Dosimetric analysis, which is summarized as follows: 1. Litho chemical, and Hydrogeochemical prospection for Uranium in lower Himalaya. Radon/Thoron Pollution Studies in the Human Environment. Measurement of neutron dose using solid-state track recorders. Physico-chemical investigations and the estimation of uranium and other heavy toxic metals in water for health risk assessments. Health risk assessment from natural radionuclides in soil. Study the effects of meteorological parameters on Radon/Thoron in the natural environment. EXPERT ON EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES: 1. LED Fluorimeter– To measure the concentration of uranium in water. pH/TDS/EC meter– To determine the Physico-chemical properties of water samples. Gamma Spectroscopy– To measure the concentration of natural radionuclides 226Ra, 238U, 232Th, 135Cs, 40K in soil samples. Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTDs) – To monitor level of indoor Radon/Thoron. Wire-mesh capped progeny sensors (DTPS/DRPS) – To measure attached and an unattached fraction of Radon/Thoron progeny concentration in indoor environment. Scanning Electron Microscope & EDX.
