About Anamaria Castillo

I am a Colombian Orthodontist with over two decades of expertise in working with Align Technology. My journey began at San Jose, CA headquarters in and in 2003, I relocated permanently to Costa Rica to contribute with the establishment of our Treat Operations facility. Throughout my 20-year tenure in Operations, I held various roles, including leading the Clinical Team and managing the facility from 2015 to 2018, overseeing its growth from 800+ to 1800 employees.This experience allowed me to acquire business administration skills that have been invaluable in my subsequent roles. I played a key role in the selection and construction of our Treat Operation Facilities in Costa Rica. In Q4 of 2023, I returned to the United States and joined the Global Clinical Education team as Program Director. In this role, I collaborate closely with Invisalign and iTero doctors, to evaluate and create educational assets, lead clinical program initiatives, and optimize the customer journey experience. I also establish and monitor KPI\'s, develop dashboard and use data-driven recommendations to lead global deviation and product changes. My role involves partnering with regional peers and collaborating with team members from Clinical Support, Marketing, Product Development, and Onboarding functions.My professional journey has been marked by collaboration, fast learning, teamwork, energy, and multicultural experiences.

   In this new role at Align, I will be responsible for driving high quality Global educational strategies and content mainly for the Ortho channel.My mission is the creation, optimization and implementation of clinical education strategies and content from across the Align Digital Platform, to support new and existing providers, driving adoption, utilization of Align’s products and services for the Orthodontist channel. With my team, I will develop and implements educational content that meets the changing needs of Align Technology providers and the market. Efforts will include, online modular & instructor led education, with a continuous improvement approach to enhancements for increased effectiveness and / or improved efficiency. I will partner with their Regional peers, and collaborate closely with peers from R&D, Sales, New Product Development, IT and Marketing to ensure inter-departmental alignment.
