ABOUT ANAIS CHON
Though I am still an undergraduate student, I am positive that my youthful and diverse insight will be of use to you! In terms of academics, I have been a tutor for 4+ years, and have taught students of all ages. In terms of teamwork, I have spent 5+ years in leadership positions where I had to work closely with teams to achieve results in both Model United Nations, Olympiads and scientific/economic/historical research projects. One of these projects was on the inventions of bioluminescent sustainable lighting and its effect on the market. So far, I have found academic work and research, despite different subjects, to be extremely fulfilling. Even if I spent most of my student career studying Biology, Geology, Physics, and Chemistry, I believe my position as an undergraduate in Economics and Economic History is the next step for me to achieve a holistic education. Since I have gained reasonable biological knowledge on how humans work, now, the next barrier is to understand how humans behave. About myself, I have much to say. I am a creative person, who always seeks new opportunities and challenges that will allow me to think outside the box. Of course, my passion is not limited to Economics, I am a fervent lover of arts and literature, whether French, Spanish, and English literature. If you enjoy reading and writing, I would love to discuss with you the philosophy on aestheticism and its illustrations. Projects on creative writing have always given me the greatest pleasure: I still write in my free time. Fashion, as well, is an attainable art form that I have been interested in since I was young. To me, it is not just a simple garment one pulls over his head, rather a depiction of history and freedom. I also enjoy all that is related to science. What I say may seem broad, but it takes a lot to satisfy my curiosity! There is much to say about how much my science formation has shaped me into who I am today. Until now, I still adhere to a rigorous scientific method which holds as the backbone to my research. Through statistical analysis and the progresses shown in AI, I think it is entirely possible to model the world!
