Course Title: The U.S. Police & Prison StateCo-designed and facilitated a 2-unitDemocratic Education (DeCal) Course which was approved and offered through the UC Berkeley Legal Studies Department and Fall 2025 UC Berkeley Course Catalog.This course intends to inform and involve students in the process of evaluating the United States Criminal Justice system through analytical and comparative lenses. We will cover the historical, legal, and political/policy implications which have collectively shaped the conditions of our policing and prison systems since the 1970s to present-day.
