About Ana Santos

My curiosity for technology led me to pursue computer science in college, despite having no prior background in the field. By following this curiosity, I discovered my passion for the field. I was astounded by the wide range of applications of computer science and the diverse roles I could pursue upon graduation. My first industry experience was as a quality assurance engineer intern at a startup, where I gained exposure to test automation for the first time. After graduation, my interest in personal finance and investing drew me to my current role at Charles Schwab. Here, I troubleshoot bugs to ensure seamless customer login and account management functionality. I have also recently taken on the role of scrum master within my team, leading the delivery of capabilities to enhance our clients\' experience. In my next step, I hope to leverage both my technical background and leadership skills I have acquired within my scrum master role.

   This is my first full-time role as a remote software developer. I am currently part of a team that plays a critical role in maintaining the availability of core business services ranging from user authentication (MFA, SSO), account management, and account creation. In my role as a developer, I troubleshooted issues reported by clients to provide a resolution. I’ve also served as scrum master for my team and applied agile practices to streamline processes and deliver value to stakeholders.
