As a Learning Support Worker at halow project, a cherished charity organization dedicated to empowering young adults with learning disabilities, I engage directly in facilitating their integration and active participation within the community. Starting my journey in May, 2024, I have been instrumental in implementing the Building Futures programme, which is renowned for its personalized and community-centric approach to learning and development.In my role, I work one-on-one with participants, helping them to navigate through their post-education transition, a phase often marked by significant change. By leveraging local resources and partnerships in Guildford and Woking, I aid in enhancing their independence and public transport skills, pivotal in their journey towards self-reliance.Our work extends beyond traditional educational settings, immersing young adults in real-world environments where they learn and grow through personalized, goal-oriented activities. Each week, I contribute to sessions focused on Person-Centred Planning (PCP), tracking and supporting the achievement of SMART goals. This approach ensures that every individual\'s needs and aspirations are at the forefront of their developmental path.Though early in my tenure, I am committed to further developing my skills in this sector, aiming to profoundly impact our participants\' lives and contribute meaningfully to their personal and social development.

ABOUT ANAGHA KULKARNI
I am a recent MSc Organisational and Occupational Psychology graduate from the University of Surrey, where I developed hands-on experience in human resources through applied research and behavioural support work. I am looking for graduate roles in Occupational or similar fields such as applied psychology or leadership development.I became passionate about work psychology when I saw the impact that small environmental and process adjustments had on the independence and wellbeing of neurodiverse individuals during my work as a Learning Support Worker.
