ABOUT ANAGHA SHASTRY

Hello!I am Anagha Shastry, a student of the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet (ISC Board) currently in Class 12 Pursuing Humanities with the subjects History, Psychology, Economics, English (Literature and Language) and Elective English.I have been a Kathak student under Guru Mangala Bhatt ji and Guru Raghav Raj Bhatt ji, disciples of Pt. Durga Lal ji and Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj ji respectively for over 12 years.I have served as Student Editor of the Shaheen Magazine at HPS Begumpet during the academic year 2024-25 and am now the Deputy Head Girl for the academic year 2025-26.I have been learning the keyboard for around 9 years.I secured 94% in my Class 10 ICSE Board Exams scoring 100/100 in History and 97/100 in English Literature. In Class 11, I am in the top 1% of my class.My interests are History, English Literature, Popular Culture, Philosophy, Art History and WritingI have pursued various internships that lie in the area of my interests; I am currently working on an internship with the National University of Singapore.I am an avid reader- my favourite authors include Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and the Bronte sisters.
