About Anadi Pande

Anadi Pande is a unique amalgam of industry and academia. He began his career with TML, where in 1992, he was positioned for leadership roles. He was Head of Lucknow Project and Head of Truck Assy Factory. In joined IIM Lko as Asso. Prof. in Strategic Management and became the \'Best Teacher\' twice. His team was awared by Hon. PM of India in 2003 for writing Draft Manufacturing Policy for India. In 2006, he joined Hero MotoCorp as Head of HRM and Corp. Strategy. Here, he set up the Haridwar plant with unique strategy, structures, processes. He was lead negotiator for the license (separation) agreement with Honda in 2010. Later he built internl. tech. alliances to give the co. product development competences. He successfully negotiated 4 wage agreements with the Labour Unions. He restructured PMS & people processes. Pande has visited most automotive manufacturers and several technology ancillaries of repute across Europe, US, Japan, Taiwan during his stint with TML and Hero Moto. In 2014, he joined L&T, Mumbai as Head Corporate Strategy/Initiatives. After a brief stint, he joined IIM Lucknow as Professor of Strategic Management for a year. He soon moved back to Industry as Director, Corp HR & Corp Strategy, Hero Cycles. Participating in co’s internationalization efforts, he took up the role of member BoD, Avocet Sports (Now Incyte Cycles), Manchester, UK. After a year he joined IIM Lucknow as Prof of SM and took up additional charge Convener & Member BoG of IIM Jammu, the 20th IIM. He established all administrative and academic processes at IIM Jammu within first one and half years of its inception and handed over charge to MHRD appointed Director in October 2018. At IIM Luckow, he took up role of Faculty Incharge and Director of IIML Incubator (Section 8 company). In five years the Incubator was transformed into a highly successful company incubating about 110 startups with valuation of about 4k Crores. At IIM Lucknow he floated 3 new electives in SM, which are much sought after. He has unique ability to link theory to practice and vice versa. His unique General Management course titled,\"Wisdom of Indian Philosophy\" in the MBA programme, won the \'Most Popular Non-Conventional Course\' award. He has published in A and B category journals and presented papers in national and internal conferences of repute including AOM and ANZAM. He has received Best paper award in Entrepreneurship conference. His current research interests include Indian philosophy and Management, Entrepreneurship. He joined Mahindra University as Dean, School of Management in 2024.
