ABOUT ANA ABREU
I am a climate policy and project professional with over a decade of experience leading socio-environmental impact projects, designing advocacy efforts, building multisectoral partnerships, and producing research and strategic political analysis. With a background in International Relations and Sustainable Development, my work bridges global climate policy and local implementation, focusing on adaptation, climate justice, and urban resilience.Throughout my career, I have coordinated multi-stakeholder projects that mobilized cities, policymakers, civil society representatives, and community leaders to strengthen just and inclusive climate solutions. My experience spans shaping advocacy efforts and political recommendations from civil society for global forums like the G20 and UN Climate Conferences (COPs) to supporting local governments and community leaders in developing climate policies and engaging with international climate initiatives.By combining analytical thinking, evidence-based research, and a collaborative approach, I aim to contribute to projects and organizations that enhance political participation, democracy, climate justice, adaptation, and urban resilience.
