Conduct pre-operative assessments and review surgical expectations, preparation steps, and post-op instructions with patients-Room patients efficiently; obtain vitals, medical history updates, and ensure all imaging and documentation are ready for the physician and PA-Assist the orthopaedic surgeon and physician assistant during examinations, minor procedures, and joint injections-Fit and dispense orthopaedic braces (e.g, knee braces), ensuring proper fit, comfort, and patient understanding of use-Perform post-operative wound checks, remove staples/sutures, and monitor healing progress to identify potential complications early-Prepare patients for in-office procedures including cortisone and visco injections, ensuring proper setup and patient comfort-Maintain clinical flow by organizing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring supplies and braces are fully stocked.
