About Anabella Chlada

I am a Special Education major specializing in the Learning and Behavior sequence committed to building inclusive and supportive learning environments where all students can access high-quality instruction. I am completing my Bachelor of Science in Education at Illinois State University and pursuing my Professional Educator License, with a Letter of Approval in English as a Second Language.My clinical experience spans both elementary and secondary settings, where I have co-taught in general education and specialized classrooms, implemented differentiated instruction, and modified grade-level curriculum to meet diverse learner needs. I value collaboration and have worked closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.Beyond the classroom, I am deeply engaged in leadership and advocacy within the education field. I currently serve as Chairperson of the Illinois Education Association Aspiring Educators Program, leading statewide initiatives that strengthen the educator pipeline and expand access to the profession, including advocacy for paid student teaching.Grounded in the belief that strong educator support leads to strong student outcomes, I am eager to begin my career as a licensed educator and contribute to a school community committed to equity, collaboration, and student success.

   Appointed to the State IPACE Executive Committee, collaborating with IEA officers and Board Members to shape political strategy, manage endorsement procedures, and oversee the statewide budget for pro-public education campaigns- Engaged in bipartisan candidate recommendation processes, ensuring grassroots educator voices guided endorsement decisions for Illinois General Assembly, statewide offices, and local school boards- Strengthened educator-policymaker relationships by advancing legislative priorities and mobilizing union members to participate in electoral efforts supporting public education champions.
