ABOUT ANABELL CASTRO THOMPSON

Anabell’s work features a practice focused on integrating concepts related to access to care, social determinants of health and culturally effective approaches to facilitate value based care. She implements innovative models of care for underserved populations aimed at improving patient outcomes and satisfaction while reducing overall cost of care. Determined to bridge health care disparities, she actively participated in building and managing innovative programs and strategic initiatives to address complex health and social needs. Her local and national strategic vision has informed population health, health policy, environmental justice, end of life care, expanded volunteer programs, enhanced community partnerships and collaborative programming. A Former President of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and LatinaStrong Foundation, Anabell is seasoned in governance, has influenced resource development and diversification of funding revenues, and leads projects aimed at reducing barriers in access to care.
