In-house Translation Team Lead: Lead and coordinate translation, localization, and interpretation vendors to support the Agency’s language services. Perform in-house translations, reviews, and proofreading to ensure high-quality, accurate, and culturally appropriate content- Oversee the management of awarded grants, ensuring strict compliance with regulations, and providing detailed reports on the efficient utilization of grant funds- Spearhead the development and maintenance of The Language Access Hub, an internal platform designed to streamline information related to language access for VDH employees- Manage translation materials, technology software and standards, including translation memory, glossaries, language-specific style guides, and localization kits- Conduct quality evaluations to ensure the effective and economical implementation of the translation process through vendors- Collaborate with Central Office and Local Health Departments (LHDs) to comprehend and address translation, localization, and interpretation needs- Monitor and manage the current and future status of translation needs, language scope, timelines, and translation content- Provide guidance to VDH staff on translation policies and processes, facilitating access to translation and interpretation support for internal use, such as the VDH website and content- Oversee translation and interpretation activities with external and statewide partners/stakeholders- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor and track the utilization of translation and interpretation resources- Work closely with the Language Access Coordinator and Digital Accessibility Program Manager to address language needs and knowledge gaps in health information for limited English proficient (LEP) populations- Conduct training sessions on translation and interpretation processes for the VDH workforce.
