ABOUT ANA SIMOES COX
I am an Associate Lecturer and Entrepreneur with nearly a decade of experience teaching in UK higher education across design, business, marketing and management-related subjects. My teaching practice is grounded in applied learning, inclusive pedagogy and supporting students to connect academic theory with professional contexts.I currently work as a Visiting Associate Lecturer at the University of Exeter, where I contribute to assessment and marking, ensuring consistency, academic rigour and high-quality feedback. I am also a Co-Lecturer at the University of Plymouth International College, teaching Business Foundations and Introduction to Marketing.Alongside my academic work, I run a design-led jewellery business, where I lead strategy, operations, e-commerce development and brand growth. This practitioner experience strongly informs my teaching, enabling me to use real organisational examples when exploring leadership, decision-making, innovation and customer strategy.I hold a Master’s degree in Design Management (Distinction), with a strong focus on leadership, innovation strategy and organisational practice.
