ABOUT ANA OZDOBA

Ana Ozdoba, MD is Vice Chair for Education, Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.She completed her Psychiatry Residency and an Administrative Psychiatry Fellowship at Montefiore/Einstein. Dr. Ozdoba earned her MD from Temple University School of Medicine and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology.Her previous leadership roles include serving as Medical Director of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department and Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in the Department of Psychiatry. She is dedicated to providing psychiatric care for Spanish-speaking patients and has special interests in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cultural psychiatry, resident education and curriculum development, and quality improvement and patient safety.Nationally, Dr. Ozdoba is an active member of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training (AADPRT), where she was the founding Chair of the Organizational Equity Committee.Her contributions to psychiatry and medical education have been recognized with the Montefiore Staff and Alumni Outstanding House Officer Award (2008) and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (2017, 2019).
