Ana Lopez Shalla is a strategist, systems thinker, and coalition builder with deep expertise at the intersection of workforce development, education, and economic mobility. She designs and scales cross-sector initiatives that align public systems, postsecondary institutions, and employers—ensuring more people, especially those historically excluded from opportunity, can access meaningful careers in high-growth industries. Ana currently serves as Lead for Microcredentials at the University of Nebraska System, where she leads a partnership with Google to expand short-term, industry-aligned credentials across Nebraska. She is also the co-founder of Working Ventures, a national consultancy supporting public workforce agencies and nonprofits in launching strategic plans and sector partnerships. With experience spanning K–12 systems, community colleges, private institutions, and public research universities, Ana brings a unique understanding of how education systems operate and how to build the relationships and structures needed to move them toward shared goals.
