ABOUT ANA G. ALCOCER

I am passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency in the construction industry. With over 8 years of experience in VDC, I\'ve had the pleasure of working on some exciting projects and delivering successful results.Throughout my career, I\'ve had the opportunity to manage the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) strategies for a range of projects, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and institutional. I am experienced in setting BIM standards, leveraging and implementing emerging technology, Revit modeling, scan-to-BIM workflows, 3D coordination, 4D sequencing and logistics planning, 5D extraction and aerial photogrammetry. Currently, I lead the VDC team at Arc Building Partners where my goal is to improve efficiency in the planning and execution of construction processes by integrating construction technology, tools, and data. My team and I approach our work through a tested and proven process to maximize outcomes. We collaborate with all project stakeholders, including A/E Designers, Contractors, and Field Teams, to ensure an integrated solution. My work begins in the pre-construction phase, where I perform constructibility reviews followed by 3D coordination to identify and mitigate issues early on. I also develop 4D logistics models to plan construction sequencing and identify activity overlaps. During construction, I support our field teams by performing continuous quality control checks and providing on-site training. Our VDC efforts support the construction process from concept to completion.I firmly believe in the endless possibilities that VDC offers to drive positive impact on the evolution of construction!
