ABOUT AMY WYRON ROBINSON

Why am I here? For 20+ years I\'ve been fixing the plane while flying it, helping to envision, build and operate innovative venture-backed startups, including Waze (acquired by GOOGL), Moovit (acquired by INTEL), and Gett, where I held the position of Global VP of B2B ($100+ million P&L). As Head of Gett Delivery, I led the launch and growth of Gett\'s beloved last mile delivery service, a \"startup within a startup\" that grew from zero to $10 million in revenue and become profitable in under two years (phew!). Rollercoasters, cliffs and hockey sticks. Never boring :)And as an entrepreneur with a teacher\'s heart (thanks mom!), I am thrilled to be a Senior Lecturing Fellow at the Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship program, helping aspiring entrepreneurs to write their own stories and multiply their impact. I\'m in my happy place when I\'m collaborating with amazing partners to create magic together, designing lean replicable playbooks from scratch, and crafting narratives that resonate. I have led and mentored diverse and cross-functional top performing teams, fostering a culture of authenticity, empathy and precision. At home in the world, I have lived in Washington, DC; Durham, NC; La Paz, Bolivia; Tel Aviv, Israel; and now back to Durham, where I am beyond excited to (re)connect and contribute to our local Triangle startup ecosystem.
